Wire Village School
As Project Architect for this Middle School in Spencer, MA, Daniel Lewis had primary responsibility for the design and construction oversight of this project. The exterior is an attractive mix of brick, masonry, and pre-cast concrete. The Classrooms are grouped in pods around common display and study areas. Although the Gymnasium is at the front of the building, a carefully arranged and proportioned façade keeps it from looking like a windowless box. The partial globe of the world in the Lobby and the rotunda were designed by William Masiello, Architect. In a competitive bidding climate, this project actually came in well under budget.
